Description
Jim Douglas (guitar and concertina) 'sings history alive' through traditional New England and American folksongs. A performing artist for more than two decades, he has presented programs in well over a thousand schools as well as hundreds of libraries and historical societies. Topics include: colonial songs, whaling songs, songs of the Civil War, songs of the Great Depression, songs of old New England and tall tales/songs. He has several songbooks and records available for teachers. His most recent book is 'Music in Every Classroom: A Resource Guide for Music Across the Curriculum' (Libraries Unlimited).
