Judith Stames-Hamilton, dancer and movement specialist, and musician Stan Strickland, in partnership for more than 25 years, have received national recognition and funding for their model arts education programs. They are well known and widely respected in the arts and education worlds for having developed rich and exciting ways to help students gain access to various academic concepts in all classroom curriculum areas using the art forms of dance and music. Professional development workshops for teachers and dance movement workshops for students are featured in their residencies, as are final presentations of student creative work that demonstrate the successful integration of the arts and academics in the classroom.
