"e" inc. provides on-site environmental education for afterschools & community centers throughout Greater Boston. Highly trained & dynamic educators use artwork, experiments, data collection/analysis & a myriad of other techniques to engage children to learn about their environment & take action to protect it. From the outset of our program, we ask participants to see themselves as caretakers involved in improving their earth. All programs contain activities that teach leadership & environmental responsibility, such as: pledge campaigns, energy conservation contests, protecting a piece of unused land, or creating a recycling program for an entire school. "e" believes that all young people can see themselves as stewards of their community & are able to actively work to sustain the environments that surround them. "e" reconnects urban youth physically, intellectually and emotionally with Earth's natural resources as they work toward an understanding of the science that underpins it.
