Sara deBeer delights audiences of all ages with her repertoire of international folktales. Popular programs include: Legends of King Arthur, Folktales from the Many Cultures of Africa and Tales of Women Wise and Wondrous.
Sara performs in schools, libraries, senior centers and museums She's also a featured artist at regional festivals, and Hartford's First Night. A graduate of Yale and Bank Street, and a CWP Fellow, Sara is a skilled workshop leader. In her work as an artist-in-residence, Sara designs programs which tie in with on-going classroom studies of science, social studies, and language arts. Sara is affiiated with: Bushnell PARTNER programs; Storytellers in the Schools (CT Storytelling Center); CT Humanities Council Book Voyager and Lifetime for Learning.
She has has two solo storytelling recordings: Women of Wisdom, Women of Faith (Jewish Folktales); Seven Stories (International Folktales). Editor of: Open Ears: Musical Adventures for a New Generation.
