Description
The Peanut Butter & Jelly Dance Company is a group of professional dancer/teachers who present fun, creative modern dance programs for children. Their approach is energetic and direct. The audience becomes involved with the dancers as they explore the athletic and artistic sides of movement, encourage participation & show colorful dances.
Assembly programs are suitable for libraries, schools & family events & include everyone-get-up-and-dance segments or exclusively in-seat active participation. Pre-school shows are half presentation, half workshop.
Workshops focus on principles of dance, integrate with curriculum, or making dances. Material corresponds to national & state Dance Standards in Basic Movement.
‘Residency’ packages can include performances, workshops for children, workshops for teachers on using movement in the classroom, dancer classroom visits, company rehearsal observation & student performances.
